Real estate mogul and Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has applied to import 70 foreign worker for his elite Mar-a-Lago Club resort in Florida to work as cooks, cleaner and waiting staff.

Trump, since his announcement campaign for the Republican nomination for the 2016 Elections, has become a frontrunner for the Republican Party, gaining high percentage in the national opinion polls and has passed former frontrunner Jeb Bush.

According to Reuters, this exclusive information of Trump’s company applying for working visas for foreigner is not the first time the business man has brought foreign workers from outside of the United States. A Reuters analysis of American government data shows that this is a standard business in his empire. Ever since 2000, the U.S. Department of Labor’s data shows that Trump has applied for temporary work visas for more than 1,100 foreigners, nearly all of them being approved. Nine of his companies have been using foreign work force as cooks, laborers, vineyard workers, assistant golf-course superintendent, assistant hotel manager, banquet manager, fashion models, etc.

The problem arises when you see Trump’s announcement campaign for President and his policies regarding job creation and immigration. He has based his entire Presidential race on the promise to protect American jobs from foreigners and immigrants that according to him, steal American jobs away from Americans.

According to Reuters, Donald Trump, while making his announcement speech on the 16th of June said “I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created. I will bring back our jobs from China, Mexico and other places. I will bring back jobs and our money.”

He has angered the Latino population by making racial comments about Mexicans. According to Reuters, he said “When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. They are bringing drugs. They are bringing crime. They are rapists.”

The Labor Department has not specified the nationality of the workers that have got working visa thanks to Trump; however they might as well be Mexicans. According to Reuters, Trump’s companies have applied for at least 850 H-2B visa program, which mostly brings in Mexican workers to the United States.

Even though Trump has made a vow to protect Americans and their jobs, he thinks he is above everyone and this does not apply to him. According to Reuters, many people criticize the H-2B and H-2A programs and the labor Department Inspector General has stated in 2003 that “Abuses of these programs may result in economic harm to American workers and businesses, exploitation of foreign workers, and security risks associated with aliens who are admitted to this country by fraudulent means.”

Trump’s campaign and lawyer declined to comment on the situation. According to government data, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago alone has imported 787 workers since 2006 and is continuing to bring workers from Mexico and other countries for exploitation and abuse, while Trump is making false promises and attacking entire nations.
