Presidential contender and Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has once again taken to his well known political incorrectness and used a vulgar term to describe Democrat Hillary Clinton’s 2008 elections campaign.
Trump made an off color comment about the frontrunner for the Democratic Presidential nomination and her unsuccessful campaign during the 2008 Democratic primaries, where she lost to President Barack Obama.
Trump made his controversial comment on Monday, a day after he called Hillary Clinton a liar for claiming that his proposal to ban all foreign Muslims from entering the United States is only helping the propaganda of the Islamic State and aids them to recruit more extremists.
According to Reuters, while being on a campaign stop in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Trump stated “She was going to beat Obama. She was going to beat – she was favored to win – and she got schlonged. She lost.” Schlong is a Yiddish term used to describe the male genitalia.
Trump’s incorrectness did not end there and he continued to trash talk Clinton and made a reference to Clinton being late to return to the stage during the last Democratic debate on Saturday. He described her bathroom break as “I thought she gave up. Where did she go? Where did Hillary go? They had to start the debate without her. Phase II. I know where she went. It’s disgusting. I don’t want to talk about it.”
Trump has made it a habit to make irreverent statements that can often be racist, sexual and xenophobic. Since he has announced his Presidential campaign he has angered the Latino population, women, the Muslim population, as well as other Republican White House hopefuls who have been a target of his outrageous style.
He has criticized FOX News moderator Megyn Kelly and made comments referring to her menstrual cycle and he has frequently mocked his fellow Republicans, calling Jeb Bush “low energy” and saying “Look at that face, Would anyone vote for that?” when speaking about corporate executive Carly Fiorina.
The Clinton campaign denied to respond to Trump’s comments, but said it was scathing about the language that Trump has used. According to Reuters, Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director stated “We are not responding to Trump but everyone who understand the humiliation this degrading language inflicts on all women should.”
According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll from Monday, if there would be a hypothetical contest held today between the frontrunners of both parties, Trump would lose to Clinton.
